Will I damage my car's starter by always turning off the ignition at stop lights? - car starters life span
I started my car engine at a red light, as a means to improve fuel consumption. On a very scientific, I think this is in improving the efficiency of the fuel in my car - a 2005 Scion xB - for 1 or 2 miles per gallon. I am concerned, however, that the engine makes more frequently and shorten the life of the starter. Can anyone advise me on the pros and cons of this situation?
